12 Step Yoga

This 12 step recovery class is for anyone who is dealing with addictive behavior themselves or is effected by the addictive behavior of others. So, this class is for pretty much everyone!

 

We will work together utilizing the practical tools of Alcoholics Anonymous and the somatic movements of yoga. It will create a sense of how we can embody these two practices in our lives. Each class focuses on one of the 12 steps.

 

This is a safe space. What is said here, what is done here, stays here.

Trauma Sensitive Yoga

This class is trauma sensitive recovery yoga. It is designed to introduce practical tools, tips, and techniques that can help work through the symptoms of trauma and stress.

 

We will work on how to regulate our emotions, especially the tough ones like, fear, anger, and anxiety. We look at how to mobilize stuck energy like depression, grief, and hopelessness. By creating an understanding of the importance of the mind body connection, and how it relates to trauma.

Heal and Recover Together

 

This class is for anyone who is dealing with addictive behavior themselves or is effected by the addictive behavior of others. As a group, we have a single purpose to support one another as we recover from the effects of addiction.

 

In this class we will be working with the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and AL-ANON, combining them alongside somatic movements of yoga.

 

In this weekly class, we will use a combination of mantras, mudras, intentions, readings from Alcoholics Anonymous, and AL-ANON.
